St Kitts - Electronic Payments Workshop
The Visa payment ecosystem is built on a foundation of the four-party model which involves both the acceptance of payments and the issuance of payment tools. This workshop is designed to provide you firstly with an overview of electronic payments and its benefits to a growing economy. As we start to understand the value, a review of the acceptance challenges and opportunities will inform governments on the need to implement policies that promote card activation, usage and acceptance.
It is widely recognized that payments will continue to evolve driven by advancing technology which is fueling payment innovations. We will also take a look at how innovation has impacted the key stakeholders of our payment ecosystem.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe the various components of an Electronic Payment System.
- Recognize the importance of enabling policies which will help to drive innovation, fuel industry creativeness resulting in payment growth.
- Be aware of the implications of innovation on payments, financial services and retail industry.
